EnduraDril

EnduraDril inhibitive divalent water-based drilling fluid is a low-solids, nondispersed system that is highly compatible with the Bakken base brine. The EnduraDril fluid is versatile in applications for the Bakken plays and is proven to match and exceed the performance of the traditional oil-based mud (OBM).

How it works

EnduraDril fluid chemistry works with existing produced water for a full range of clear water, drilling to a fluid exhibiting inhibitive characteristics and a rheological profile like OBM–yet solids-free.Because EnduraDril fluid is saltwater based, impacts from saltwater contamination are largely reduced. Depending on the salinity of saltwater inflow, density is minimally impacted. Viscosity dilution, if encountered, is easily recovered.

Products that work with EnduraDrill

EnduraCap L

Part of the family of Endura high-performance brine-compatible drilling fluids, EnduraCap L encapsulating polymer additive is ideally suited for water and brine solutions, especially in the Bakken Shale.

EnduraDril fluid can be weighed up to 13.5 lb/galUS [1.62 sg] with barite if desired to control water flows. Including the EnduraCap L additive in the system enables the mud density to be maintained as close to the base brine density as possible at 9.6 to 10 lb/galUS [1.15 to 1.2 sg].

EnduraSlide

EnduraSlide divalent water-based lubricant is designed for use with Endura fluids for drilling unconventional shale prospects in onshore operations.

How it works

For lubricity and wellbore stability, 2 to 5 vol% of EnduraSlide lubricant should be added directly to the active circulating system at or near the pump suction over one circulation period.

After the initial treatment, the product can be added or injected at the pump suction during drilling. The injection rate varies according to hole size, pump rate, dilution rates, and ROP.

EnduraTrol

EnduraSlide divalent water-based lubricant is designed for use with Endura fluids for drilling unconventional shale prospects in onshore operations.

How it works

For lubricity and wellbore stability, 2 to 5 vol% of EnduraSlide lubricant should be added directly to the active circulating system at or near the pump suction over one circulation period.

After the initial treatment, the product can be added or injected at the pump suction during drilling. The injection rate varies according to hole size, pump rate, dilution rates, and ROP.

Di-Trol

The DI-TROL additive is a specially processed, high-molecular-weight, branched-chain starch derivative that generates elevated LSRV without the need for additional viscosifiers such as xanthan gum. DI-TROL additive also controls filtrate loss in the DIPRO fluid.

When used in conjunction with a bridging agent such as calcium carbonate, DI-TROL additive provides a thin, pliable, easily removed filter cake. DI-TROL additive should be used in calcium chloride, calcium bromide, zinc bromide, and divalent field brines. It can also be used to viscosify sodium chloride and sodium bromide brines.

Di-Balance

Di-Balance divalent brine system secondary viscosifier is a fine-particle-size, highly reactive magnesium compound that interacts in a synergistic manner with DI-TROL divalent brine system primary viscosifier to enhance the low-shear-rate viscosity (LSRV) of DIPRO or DIPRO LD fluid. It also serves as a pH control agent.
